The Hillary Clinton Scandal: America, You Should Expect More From Your Government

Hey Democrats, it’s time to give up on Hillary. Well, actually, it’s time for every American to give up on Hillary. As you may have heard, the potential Democratic presidential nominee has been in the news after it was discovered that she used a private e-mail account during her entire tenure at the State Department. That’s right. Every e-mail correspondence was stored on a private server.

No government e-mail address. No transparency. No accountability.

Sure, this isn’t exactly surprising. After all, Mrs. Clinton has quite a history when it comes to skirting policies and conveniently allowing crucial document to go missing. She was even fingerprinted by the FBI — the only first lady in American history who can lay claim to such an embarrassing reputation. The FBI subsequently found missing documents covered in Hillary’s fingerprints in the White House personal quarters. As expected, the left-wing media rushed to her defense, claiming that irresponsible staff and lawyers were responsible for this scandal of epic proportions. And let’s not even get started on the millions of dollars she received from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Oman right before her political campaign.

And, as has become the norm these days, most Americans didn’t even blink. There were a few Republicans who were furious. They’re in the process of subpoenaing all of her e-mails. But, most Americans, liberal and conservative, really couldn’t care less. This is what we’ve come to expect of our government leaders — corruption, scandal, dishonesty — it’s all just part of the political game now. It’s just another day in Washington.

Surely, we must be nearing the point when the majority of Democratic politicians and voters abandon their loyalty to Hillary and move on to the next liberal nincompoop. Unfortunately, they don’t exactly have a second-string candidate, which makes this whole situation all the more troubling for the Left. This will serve as an open door for Republicans to swoop in and do their best to win the confidence of the American public. Of course, they’ll need to rally around a halfway decent candidate first, and that’s yet to come to fruition — particularly after Ben Carson shot himself in the foot with that horrific response to CNN’s Chris Cuomo’s question about whether or not homosexuality is a choice. I could write an entire post about that flop (and I might), but for now you should check out the story for yourself. I would say that his presidential career is pretty much over, which is quite unfortunate. He had potential. Lots of potential.

Anyway, it’s the Dems who really need to worry about the upcoming presidential run. But, more importantly, it’s you, the American public, who should be concerned. It’s you who should be growing weary of this Washington political malarky. Because, at the end of the day, that’s all it really is — just politics. Cheap, shady, deceptive, corrupt politics, all laced with a very heavy dose of stupidity and arrogance. Hillary’s e-mail coverup is just the latest example of an American government gone wrong. Next week, there will be something else. Another scandal, another lie, another crime, another defiant violation of the Constitution. (President Obama seems to have made a hobby out of defying the Constitution — including last week’s news that he’ll be considering banning bullets via executive order.) This will pretty much be a full-fledged castration of the Second Amendment.

What will it take for Americans to stand up and say, 'No more. We’ve had enough.' Have we really become that apathetic? Are we content to let this lawless bullcrap continue? Are we just going to sit on our butts while our government spirals out of control?

Sadly, Hillary probably still has a shot at being elected president. These days, Americans seemed more concerned with electing “firsts.” You know — the first black president, the first female president. Next, they’ll want to elect the first gay, bisexual or transgendered president. If you don’t think we’re heading in that direction, you really haven’t been paying attention to our crumbling culture. It’s falling apart around us. Electing Hillary would be a great defeat of the alleged sexism of our society, right? I guess that’s more important than having a government that’s accountable and responsible.

Our government seems to have forgotten their place. They’ve forgotten that they answer to us: the American people. Right now they’re scrambling to answer questions about when they first learned of Hillary’s e-mail habits. I wish them the best of luck with that. I really don’t see how they’re going to recover from this. Then again, I’ve been proven wrong. After all, we are talking about the administration that wiggled out of the Benghazi scandal — a cover-up worthy of Obama’s impeachment and, in my opinion, incarceration (along with a slew of other government nitwits.) Let’s not forget Hillary’s involvement in that as well — “What difference at this point does it make?”

You deserve better, America. Expecting more of your government might sound like the equivalent of living in a fairytale land where unicorns roam freely and there’s a rainbow in the sky every day. But, it doesn’t mean we should exhibit indifference. It doesn’t mean we should tolerate the stupidity and corruption.

Because, the day we stop caring is the day democracy dies.

Yes we should expect more. How many r_________s have done the same thing. They just haven't been found out yet. While Hillary's name was on every news that was reported, the r_________s were shredding anything that would implicate them. Give it a break people.

Unfortunately, people believe that the way things are now are the way they will always be, but if you look at examples throughout history, events can change existing governments in the blink of an eye. Do you think the people of Germany would ever have imagined that the Nazi Party would emerge and seize power with a dictator like Hitler ruling Germany or that the military in Japan would assassinate its democratically elected leaders and seize power? Our Constitution does not make us immune to this reality, and this government has been hard at work trying to dismantle the liberties spelled out within the Bill of Rights. Our founding Fathers were so opposed to the possibility of exactly what is happening now that the Constitution of the United States as we know it today would never have been ratified if it was not for the addition of the Bill of Rights.

Two reasons for apathy: you're just plain stupid or the only solution you can think of is illegal. I guess the second one isn't really apathy, it's desperation. Which brings one to your knees begging God to do something. Then you realize that people are still murdering their unborn babies and gay marriage is being legalized everywhere and hip hop is outselling bibles. That's when you're ready to say we deserve this God.
