On Friday, a deeply deranged and mentally unstable man named Robert Dear went on a shooting spree near a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Colorado. Three people were killed, including one very heroic, pro-life Christian police officer. Two civilians died and nine others were injured. It’s a tragedy, in every way that matters. Of course, it’s also a tragedy that several innocent unborn babies were killed inside that building on that day too. It’s a tragedy that they were chopped up and their parts sold to research facilities for profit. It’s a tragedy that many more babies will be killed in there tomorrow. And the next day. And the next. Unfortunately, their precious lives will never receive any sort of memorialization or garner the sort of media attention that this psychopathic killer has.
Speaking of the media, it didn’t take long for the liberal talking heads on TV and radio to attempt to use this horrific tragedy as a means of demolishing the pro-life movement in America. Moreover, leftists everywhere have taken what was obviously an assault on police officers and civilians and turned it into an opportunity to blame Christians, Republicans, pro-lifers and even white people for the actions of an insane, bearded recluse who lived in a shack in the woods, registered to vote as a woman and has an extensive record of arrests and criminal behavior. Mr. Dear has been described by his own neighbors as “not right in the head” — a very confused man totally detached from reality with an inability to even engage in coherent, civilized dialogue with other human beings. In other words: he’s a textbook lunatic. But, it’s the fact that he mentioned “baby parts” to authorities that has the Left in a tizzy. Obviously, this must mean that he’s a rightwing, conservative terrorist hellbent on murdering abortion doctors in the name of Almighty God, right? Or, maybe, just maybe, he’s a delusional, demented, psychologically-unstable and excessively paranoid hermit who occasionally has outbursts of senseless violence. As you can probably guess, all of the evidence points toward the latter. But alas, facts and evidence don’t matter to those on the progressive Left. (Least of all the scientific evidence that abortion is the equivalent of baby-murder.)
Anyway, one fact that is worth repeating is that Planned Parenthood kills unborn children. Planned Parenthood abortionists hack up babies and sell their parts. Planned Parenthood has no regard or respect for human life whatsoever. This is all true and it’s been proven true over and over again. For crying out loud, it’s on video. But, apparently, speaking these sort of facts is what triggers shootings like this one in Colorado. Liberal Hollywood elitist/actress Bette Midler decided to enlighten us all with this tweet:
Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper (D) decided to blame bloggers and talk show hosts who stir up inflammatory anti-abortion rhetoric:
Certainly it’s a form of terrorism and maybe in some way it’s a function of the inflammatory rhetoric we see on all — so many issues now, there are bloggers and talk shows where they really focus on trying to get people to the point of boiling over. Just intense anger. Maybe it’s time to look at how we tone down some of that rhetoric. Obviously no one is going to try to reduce free speech in that country, but that rhetoric — if people are in some way emotionally unstable or psychologically unbalanced, that intensity of rhetoric sometimes seems to pull a trigger in their brain that they lose contact with what reality is.”
Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton also sounded off, eager as always to politicize a tragedy as a way of attacking conservatives. Never mind that Mr. Dear has no history of pro-life activism or that his ex-wife said abortion was never even remotely discussed in their house. In fact, it remains to be seen what his motives were. (Or if he even had motives at all.) But, as of right now, it’s overwhelmingly clear that this had nothing to do with abortion or Planned Parenthood in any way. Of course, President Obama disagrees and decided to spew this nonsense while in Paris:
With respect to Planned Parenthood, I think it’s clear, I’ve said it before, they provide health services to women all across the country. Have for generations. In many cases, it’s the only organization that provides health services to impoverished women. I think it’s fair to have a legitimate, honest debate about abortion…How we talk about it, making sure we’re talking about it factually, accurately and not demonizing organizations like Planned Parenthood, I think that is important.”
Ironically, Mr. President, we don’t really have to demonize an organization that is already demonic. They facilitate, celebrate, promote and encourage the murder of babies. Planned Parenthood is a wicked, evil, vile, depraved, disgusting and satanic organization.
The truth is: Mr. Dear was a psychotic kook who lived in the woods without electricity or plumbing and is now in police custody because he snapped and decided to murder innocent people. He doesn’t represent the pro-life movement. He doesn’t represent Christians, conservatives, Republicans or sane, rational people in general. He doesn’t speak for anyone other than himself. It’s absolute lunacy for liberals to demand that pro-lifers condemn his actions or to admit that we’re somehow wrong in the ways in which we speak against abortion. Obviously, by the very definition of the term “pro-life,” we actively oppose senseless and unjustified murder of innocent human beings. Also, attacks on abortion clinics and abortionists are so rare that it’s not even worth addressing that side of the liberal argument. I refuse to even entertain that pathetic of a debate.
I know the Left and abortionists at Planned Parenthood would like to say that Robert Dear is somehow the perfect representation of the pro-life cause or is a direct result of pro-life rhetoric. But, this is just factually untrue in every way. Robert Dear is a loon and a criminal who obviously doesn't value life at all.
Robert Dear murdered a few innocent people.
Planned Parenthood murders thousands of innocent people every day.
Both are the result of and the very embodiment of evil.
And that’s the whole point.
