Abortion fanatics have been doing some rather bizarre and insane things over the last few days. Of course, this isn’t really all that shocking. It would be shocking if they ever stopped doing bizarre and insane things. You know, like mailing their bloody tampons to the Texas governor’s office because they’re mad about a new state law that requires abortion clinics to bury or cremate the remains of aborted babies. I’m not sure how such a law is emotionally or psychologically offensive enough to cause one to send bloodstained feminine hygiene products through the mail, but hey, I’m a straight, heterosexual, white, conservative male, so what the heck do I know?
Anyway, although they were obviously pissed for a while, baby-murder enthusiasts now have every reason to celebrate after Obama’s executive action move on Wednesday, which further protects Planned Parenthood’s federal funding by barring states from blocking those funds. In what was obviously a desperate and vindictive eleventh hour power grab, the president — in conjunction with Health and Human Services — issued a final ruling that essentially says individual states cannot withhold federal family-planning funds from Planned Parenthood affiliates and any other health clinics which provide abortion services. The ruling has been in the works since September, back when Obama (and, well, the rest of the world) was assuming that Hillary Clinton would be winning the election.
Clearly, this new regulation is a direct response to the recent efforts of over a dozen states to defund Planned Parenthood — an organization that might as well be considered a holy grail of far left progressivism in today’s culture — and is set to take effect just two days prior to Trump’s January 20th inauguration. According to several reports (and the well-documented fact that Obama is often known to be a rather contemptible jerk) the wording of the law is so twisted and intricately detailed that it could take Trump’s administration several months to undo and overturn it. And in the meantime, millions of innocent babies will continue to be executed in their mother’s wombs as states are powerless to fight it.
Speaking of moms, that’s what I’d like to focus on here. In the wake of this news, many on the pro-choice side have predictably taken to social media to celebrate it as yet another home run for feminism. Ultra-radical progressives like Obama, Hillary Clinton, Cecil Richards and the rest of their ilk constantly preach that women are “empowered” by abortion. Yes, a woman is supposedly at her strongest when she’s consenting to the slaughter of her unborn children — or so these maniacs would have us believe.
Ladies, this is a myth. A lie. An utter untruth and a ridiculous absurdity. In fact, the entire “abortion is empowering” narrative is a work of fiction authored by Satan himself and repeated by progressive politicians and liberal nincompoops — and usually repeated persuasively enough to fool millions of people every day all around the world. But, here’s the truth (in case you were wondering):
There is no “empowerment” in the senseless murdering of innocent human life — EVER.
And to suggest anything to the contrary is just entirely naive and horrifically vile, disgusting and wicked. A lot of pro-abortion zealots say that they just want women to have "control over their own bodies," but if part of that “control” involves killing a defenseless human baby, how has the woman become empowered? Clearly, she hasn’t.
I think we can all agree that women — like men — have a right to “control” their bodies in just about any and every aspect and avenue of their lives. Only a total idiot or a clinically insane person would actually disagree with this. Free will is free will. But, once conception and reproduction have occurred, she’s no longer making decisions about just her body and her life. She’s making decisions that will affect a tiny life and body that is growing inside of her. There is literally another person, another life, involved in the decision. The definition of sexual reproduction from a medical dictionary: “reproduction by union of male and female gametes to form a zygote.” Once you’ve moved past those two stages — literally the very second that they occur — all the liberal arguments about reproductive rights and body control go out the window. It’s basic biology, folks.
You aren’t “empowered” just because you made a decision or a choice.
I have to admit that I’ve always found the term “pro-choice” sort of laughable. Liberals throw this phrase around like it’s some sort of honorary title to take pride in. “Look at me! I’m pro-choice! I have pro-choice bumper stickers on my car, I wear pro-choice tee shirts and I vote for all the pro-choice politicians! I’m so enlightened and sophisticated because I make choices!” And yet, what you find about 99 percent of the time is that these people can’t even remotely explain the basics of middle-school level reproduction biology or argue their pro-abortion stances beyond anything more than emotional outbursts and temper tantrums.
Besides, we all know that abortion is a choice. Just like drinking a bottle of Windex, swimming in raw sewage, punching your spouse in the face or chain-smoking three packs of cigarettes a day are all choices. But, choices aren’t necessarily smart, wise, moral or empowering just because we choose them. By this generalized logic, any random choice made by any random person on any random day could be deemed “empowering” for no apparent reason at all. (By the way, I hereby decree that my choice to take a bathroom break at the end of the previous sentence was one of the most empowering things I’ve ever done.)
If pro-abortion fanatics were as brave and courageous as they claim, they wouldn’t hide behind such patently false and misleading terminology. But, as we’ve seen time and again, they’re moral cowards. In reality, choices and decisions aren’t always “empowering” for the people making the choices and this is always the case with the choice of abortion.
There is no “empowerment” in negating a woman’s unique sexuality.
Last I checked, only one-half of the human race can grow a brand new human life inside their own body and then bring that life into a functioning existence. Just stop for a minute and think about that. I mean, really think about it. The beauty and wonder of human procreation is an incredible thing and reproduction is an even more amazing feat that men will simply never be able to accomplish biologically. This awesome power is unique and specific by design to women and only women.
And yet, pro-abortion extremists seek to downplay, negate and devalue this ability. They don’t celebrate it. They don’t encourage it or honor it in any way. They literally promote and advocate something that strips women of one of their most incredible and powerful abilities. How is that empowering? By definition, it’s the exact opposite.
Abortion ultimately demeans, degrades and humiliates women. It can never empower them because it destroys life. It destroys the life of a child and, in doing so, takes something unique and special away from the life of the would-be mother.
There is no empowerment in that. And there never can be.
