Dear Obama Voters:
It’s come to my attention that we need to have a talk. Truthfully, we don’t talk as often as we should. That’s probably because I’m fed up with your king and really have nothing positive to say about the man at this point. In fact, I had nothing positive to say about his royal highness back in ’08. And now that he’s waved his magic scepter and flushed the country down the toilet, I definitely think it’s time for him to go. I know, I know. This is the sort of rhetoric that causes you to avoid blogs and websites like mine — and, really, to avoid conservatives and Republicans as a whole. Honestly, it would be nice to come to a place of mutual understanding. Unfortunately, the majority of you are so blinded by the lies of liberal progressivism and the tenets of the Democratic Party, that you immediately dismiss even the very existence of an alternative solution. I realize that I have little to no chance at even getting through to you guys.
That’s why this isn’t for you.
Instead, I’d like to speak to those of you who voted for Emperor Barack once, or even twice, and now regret your decision; those of you who have finally exited The Matrix of Progressivism and come back to the real world where people actually work for a living and do cool things like buy their own food and even pay for their own college tuition. (Gasp!) I know that these are radical notions to many of you. After all, it’s a lot easier to just depend on the Almighty Federal Government and our Sultan In Chief to take care of your needs and wants. I suppose if I could ask you one question it would be this: Is this the America you voted for? Or better yet, how’s all of that ‘hope and change’ working out for you?
I mean, really, take a minute to think about that. How has your life changed since Barack took the throne in 2008? Are you better off than you were? Have things taken a turn for the worse? How’s your bank account doing these days? What’s your health insurance running you every month? How’s your job search going? Have your kids been able to move out yet? Have you been forced to dip into your savings account? Your retirement money? Are you even able to save for retirement at all? What’s your grocery bill look like every week? Do you really think the economy is improving?
Now, think about the country as a whole. Are we more united or divided than we were in 2008? Do you feel safe from the threat of terrorism, both foreign and domestic? Is America still seen as a superpower on the world stage? Do our enemies still fear and respect us? Do our allies still trust us? Do we still honor the Constitution and Declaration of Independence? Are we still a nation founded on Judeo-Christian values? How’s our relationship with Israel going these days? Do you even care about any of this? Is it even important to you?
Believe it or not, I know why many of you voted for Lord Obama. I know his pledge to “fundamentally transform” the nation sounded like a nice idea. I know his charm, his charisma and his energy were inspiring. After a while, it was easy to stop caring about what he stood for and to just get caught up in all of the electric excitement and euphoria. His promises were frighteningly convincing. And the idea of electing a president who came from a broken home, struggled financially, was a father of young children and who led several grass-roots campaigns was a rather intriguing notion. Not to mention he’d be the first black president and, wow, that would just be awesome and historic, right? I get it. You got caught up in all of the hoopla. The hysteria. The cheering, the chanting and the pizzazz.
But, charisma doesn’t protect a nation. Charm doesn’t repair a broken a economy. And all of the cheering and shouting in the world won’t solve the problems facing our nation. It just doesn’t work that way. I wish it did. Maybe we’d be in a better place right now.
Unfortunately, you elected a man who has gone to great lengths to sidestep and even reject the Constitution at every open opportunity. A man who changed his stance on gay marriage just to get reelected. A man who condones and even financially supports infanticide. A man who couldn’t care less about America’s relationship with Israel. A man who has slaughtered the American healthcare industry. A man who hangs out with divisive race baiters like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and even seeks their counsel. A man who refuses to identify and condemn radical Islamic ideology. A man who sat under the heretical teachings of Jeremiah Wright and Black Liberation Theology. A man who bailed out the banks, the automakers and the insurance companies, all while throwing American small businesses under the bus — destroying our economy in the process.
This is the guy you elected. This is the most powerful man on the planet. This is the president of the United States.
Your president. Barack Hussein Obama.
What frightens me more than what Obama has done to our nation is what it will take to undo the damage and destruction he’s wrought upon the country for the last seven years. If you care even one iota about the future of America, you’ll do a little more research on the candidates this time and you’ll vote for someone who is actually halfway qualified to run a nation. Sure, no candidate is perfect. But, I can promise you that your current Democratic frontrunner isn’t the right person for the job. Hillary Clinton, the pantsuited, self-proclaimed champion for the every day American, would be nothing more than Obama’s third term. The woman doesn’t have a clue how to help middle-class Americans, especially since she doesn’t even know what it’s like to be a middle-class American. If you want my thoughts on why she shouldn’t be elected, just click here.
There’s really no denying that the future of our country is at stake with the upcoming election. The economy, the job market, health care, race relations, foreign policy — it’s all riding on this election. And it’s going to take more than doing a little research. You’re going to have to grow up and change your way of thinking. You're going to have to come to the realization that the federal government is not meant to be your personal savior or your babysitter. The problem with today's Progressive Left, of which Hillary is a proud member, is their belief that America is the root of the world’s problems — the belief that, in addition to the problems within our own nation, we are too powerful and too influential throughout the rest of the world. So, while we’re “fundamentally transforming” our nation here at home, let’s shrink our influence and presence around the world as well.
This is pure insanity. Absolute lunacy. But, this is liberal progressivism. This is what you voted for when you put Obama in office, whether you knew it at the time or not.
I don’t know who our next president will be. Honestly, I don’t even know who I’ll be voting for. What I do know is that if we continue to elect leaders based solely on pointless and irrelevant criteria like charisma, race or gender, our country will slide further into the cesspool than we already have.
Is that what you want? I hope not. I hope you’ve learned from your mistake. I hope you have the humility to admit that you made a mistake. And I hope that humility will lead you to vote based on substance this time.
The future of our country depends on this election. And it’s time you start taking that seriously.
