Dear American Democratic voters:
I hope you tuned into last night’s presidential debate. After all, it would be a terrible shame to vote for someone without knowing what they stand for and how they respond to tough questions under pressure, right? It would be just awful to elect a candidate who is horribly unqualified to lead this nation. I mean seriously, it would just be utterly asinine to support someone who constantly lies about their principles, flip-flops on political issues and refuses to live by any sort of moral or ethical code.
Then again, you did vote for Barack Obama. Twice.
Honestly, I’m not even sure why I subjected myself to two and a half hours of this psychological torment. I kept thinking that only a deeply deranged and mentally disturbed individual would willingly choose to spend his free evening with the likes of Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton and the rest of the liberal progressive ilk. It’s like choosing to be thrown into solitary confinement for a week. I’ll probably be in counseling for the next two months.
Anyway, I think it’s safe to say that your so-called “Democrat” Party has essentially morphed into a some sort of unrecognizable extremist-progressive-socialistic-hellhole-blob. Of course, candidates like Clinton, Webb, Chafee and O’Malley aren’t as outspoken about socialism as Bernie Sanders. I have to admit though, the old curmudgeon did look great posing alongside Joe Biden for a pre-debate photo:
I say “socialistic” because that’s essentially the short summary of what happened during last night’s “debate” — which wasn’t really a debate at all. I kept waiting for Hillary to at least insult Bernie’s hair or something, but the two never took any serious jabs at one another. The whole event was mind-numbingly dull. Moreover, every talking point that Hillary vomited forth seemed more scripted, rehearsed and agonizingly cheesy than her Saturday Night Live appearances. But, I guess all of you Hillary sycophants don’t mind that at all, do you? You’ll support this woman no matter what she does.
Let’s be clear though: Hillary is a liar. A professional, unapologetic, repetitive, egomaniacal liar. Surely you know this by now. The woman lies about her lies. During the debate, she lied about her history as Secretary of State, lied about her record as a Senator, said she voted for the Iraq War, the Patriot Act and voted for the Wall Street bailouts. Lies. All lies. She even professed to support capitalism and then spent the rest of the debate ripping apart capitalist values. She dodged questions on Benghazi and her use of a private e-mail sever to conduct government business, which, in turn, put American lives in jeopardy. She didn’t offer a single coherent idea or policy solution at any point during the debate.
Why? Because she thinks you’re stupid. She truly believes you’re too stupid and ignorant to research her claims or to even think twice about the potential consequences and ramifications of her socialistic political agenda. She’s moving further to the left of Barack Obama — something I didn’t even really believe was possible — and you’re all too blind to see it. Maybe it’s because you’re still wondering what the FBI is going to do about all those pesky little e-mails or maybe you're too enamored with the fact that she would be the first woman president. Or maybe it’s because this is exactly what you want. I honestly don’t know. All I do know is that she’s an utter embarrassment to this presidential race. And I say that as someone who’s in the same party as Donald Trump.
It’s honestly pathetic that CNN’s moderator Anderson Cooper didn’t even attempt to press her on Benghazi or her e-mails coverups. He just stood there as she lied for over 20 minutes. And this man calls himself a journalist. Ridiculous.
Then there’s Sanders, who, much like Hillary, is also banking on the sheer stupidity of the American liberal electorate. Yes, that’s you. He’s assuming you’re too distracted by rallying cries like “Free college for everyone!” to take five minutes to research the political tenets of modern progressive Democratic socialism — tenets like socialistic wealth distribution and holistic overhauls of our nation’s education system. Do you even have any idea how these would affect your everyday life? Do you know how they would affect your children and children’s children? Do you even have a clue as to how doubling the federal minimum wage, giving free healthcare to every citizen and non-citizen and doling out paid vacations to every American would affect our economy — an economy that is already drowning in an $18 trillion debt and over $127 trillion in unfunded liabilities? Or are you just content to kick back in your La-Z-Boy and drink a beer while our country is sent into the depths of hell by a political party infested to its core with evil, stupidity and hatred?
While we’re on the subject of Sanders: Perhaps the most bizarre, albeit it predictable, answer from the 74-year-old dotard came when he was asked this question via a video clip featuring an African-American teenage boy: “Do black lives matter or do all lives matter?” Obviously this was a simple gotcha-question with one purpose: to see if any democratic presidential candidate would say something to piss off their black voter base. Of course, bowing at the altar of political correctness, they all answered — with the exception of Webb — that, yes, “black lives matter.” I guess the notion that every life, regardless of ethnicity or development in the womb, can and does matter, is just too radical and it would alienate all of the democratic voters.
You see, it’s not really just the Democrat Party with which I have a problem. The truth is: I have a problem with you. I have a problem with the folks who sat in that audience or at home and erupted into mass applause as corrupt politicians — perhaps with the exception of Jim Webb — promised you a bunch of tyranny and free crap. Is this really what it’s come to? Is this the Democrat Party now? Complaining about societal phantasms like the gender wage gap and so-called “income inequality?” I never once heard words like freedom, liberty, national debt or Constitution anywhere in this debate. I did, however, hear a bunch of old cronies bashing America, demonizing wealth and success, hating on guns and the Second Amendment and promising to fight for the “middle class,” as if any of them even have a clue about the challenges currently plaguing everyday citizens. Are you ok with that? Can you honestly tell me that your party even gives a flying flip about what happens to America?
I think that, if you’re honest with yourself, you know that the answer is a resounding “No.” They don’t care. They’ve never cared. Not to mention, this is all sort of redundant and awkward, considering that most of you voted for a man who promised that he would fix all of these things. (Twice.) And yet, under his seven-year reign, “income inequality” has only gotten worse. Terrorism and war continue to flourish in the Middle East. The American economy and job market are in shambles. And you all want to elect another flaming progressive liberal. Why?
Maybe it’s because, at the end of the day, you really don’t want liberty and freedom at all. You want to be coddled like a petulant child who can’t grow out of sucking on his pacifier. You want inspiring rhetoric empty of real solutions. You want free stuff. You want some sort of godless socialist fairy to sprinkle a truckload of magic pixie dust on this country and transform it into your preconceived notion of a societal utopia. This is what all the Democratic presidential candidates know about you. They know this. They live and breathe by it. They wake up every day and hit the campaign trail counting on and depending on your absolute stupidity.
You’re better than that. You should be better than that.
I’m sorry, but no wizard with a magic staff is going to solve our nation’s problems. Life doesn’t work that way, folks. If you think that it does, then you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.
And honestly, we’d all be better off if you didn’t vote at all.
